Kubodo is one of the most rare and rewarding disciplines in all of martial arts. At ABK Sansára Dojos we weave it throughout the year, shifting from weapon to weapon so that over time you build a complete and genuine understanding of each one.
This isn't choreography. This is real weapons training with real technique, real history, and real application — taught with the same depth and patience as everything else we do at Sansára.

This kata has a story behind it.
Originally created by Renge Malcolm Anderson — the founder of Anderson Bushi Kai — for his own Yondan grading, the Yondan Katana Kata carries with it the spirit and precision of someone who dedicated their life to martial arts.
Our club took it upon ourselves to study, train, and bring this kata back to life. What you just watched is the result of that dedication — and it is now recognised as the official 4th Dan weapons kata within our system.
Some things are worth preserving. This is one of them.
